PowerPair from Duke Energy provides incentives for customers who want to combine the savings of solar power with the reliability and security of backup battery storage. Qualifying PowerPair installations may be eligible for the following one-time incentives:

$0.36/watt-AC for solar panel installation up to 10 kW-AC
$400/kWh for battery storage installation up to 13.5 kWh

In order to receive these one-time incentives, your qualifying PowerPair system must be installed by a Duke Energy Trade Ally and enrolled in the Residential Solar Choice Rider. View the program Terms and Conditions.

In addition, you agree to provide a reliable internet connection and complete the steps necessary to provide access to operating data. You further agree to grant Duke Energy, and if applicable, a third party working on Duke Energy's behalf, rights to access and use all data associated with operation and operating characteristics of installed equipment.

You must apply for and adhere to Duke Energy interconnection requirements and maintain enrollment in Residential Solar Choice Rider for 24 months at which time you may switch to the Net Metering Bridge Rider, subject to availability. You will be allowed to switch riders a total of two times within the 10-year enrollment period.

In 2025, the one millionth Powerwall was built and installed at a customer’s home. As mass production and installation continues to grow, Tesla is offering the Next Million Powerwall Rebate in which you can earn $500 per Powerwall 3 or Powerwall 3 Expansion, up to $1,000 total.

Rebate amount: $500 per Powerwall 3 or Powerwall 3 Expansion, up to $1,000 total
Eligible models: Powerwall 3 and Powerwall 3 Expansion, can be applied to up to two Powerwall(s)
Order time frame: November 1, 2025 – June 30, 2026
Installation time frame: January 1, 2026 – December 31, 2026
Reward type: Virtual Visa^® Reward Card¹ sent by email

Qualifying PowerPair installations that also enroll in Power Manager® Battery Control may be eligible for:

One-time $0.36/watt-AC incentive for solar panel installation up to 10 kW-AC.
One-time $400/kWh incentive for storage installation up to 13.5 kWh.
Monthly bill credit following installation based on your battery capacity.
